Title: Two items from Hemmings: Tucker club folding and 1970 GSX
Post by: elagache on December 29, 2017, 01:53:26 PM
Dear mid-60s Buick owners with an eye to the automotive press,

There are two online articles of some interest.  The first describes the merger between the Tucker club and the AACA:

https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2017/12/29/tucker-club-merges-with-aaca-museum-clubs-are-not-what-they-used-to-be/ (https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2017/12/29/tucker-club-merges-with-aaca-museum-clubs-are-not-what-they-used-to-be/)

The Tucker club was dying a slow death of declining membership and merging with the AACA allowed them to continue to provide some services to the remaining Tucker owners.  Classic Buick owners aren't anywhere close to this predicament, but it is another sign of the "greying" of the hobby.

The other is a light-weight review of the Buick GNX:

I'm sure everybody knows what is in this article, but it is worth a quick scan to see how the press is portraying Buicks.  It is encouraging to see more articles on Buicks in recent weeks.

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
