Dear mid-60s Buick "parts hounds,"
A guy has a Riviera chrome nailhead dual quad air cleaner on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-1966-Buick-Nailhead-Dual-Quad-2x4-Air-Cleaner-401-425-Riviera-GS-Rare/122773309086 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-1966-Buick-Nailhead-Dual-Quad-2x4-Air-Cleaner-401-425-Riviera-GS-Rare/122773309086)
It looks in tough shape to be worth $650, but these are very rare.
Cheers, Edouard

Actually, it isn't too bad. If the chrome were in a bit better condition, who knows what it would be worth.
Obviously it needs chrome. The lids are really hard to have done well and easy to destroy in the process. Had that happen to one.
The "dents" in the pictures, around the top edge of the base, are suppose to be there. I understand they are for clearance when on a Riviera. :idea1: I should check that out on Roxy's Riviera with the extra set-up and air cleaner.

In case anyone here is interested in this air cleaner, take note that it is for a CA car since it has the hole in the side of the drivers side snorkle for the crankcase breather hose.

Good point Brian. I noticed that also, but failed to comment on it.

That's a rare one. There are other parts that go with it; the CA breather and breather hose, and specific left valve cover.

I also noticed it, but didn't comment. Good catch!
Mark, I don't know who's engine that picture is from, but I see two throttle return springs installed. I don't believe that was standard with the 2x4 carbs. Am I wrong?

No two springs are not the norm. Looks like the original is stretched too much. Also noticed the stator switch is installed incorrectly and missing the the piece that makes it work.

Thanks for the info, Loren. Glad to know I'm not going insane....yet! :laughing7:
