Last night my friend Dick was at the last cruise-in of the season at the Gilmore Car Museum. I wasn't able to go, but he met a gentleman there that had a 65 GS hardtop in really nice shape. I have since made contact with him and had a brief chat about his car. It's a small badge car that his dad bought new in 1965. Factory 4-speed car built in Flint with a consolette. It's been parked in the same place for 52 years, now owned by the son. 31,800 miles and all original. I'll be making a date to meet him and admire his car!
I told him about the get together we had here last Saturday and he said he would have come if he'd known about it. Timing is everything! :BangHead:
He acknowledged that his car is in the registry and that he's been on the site, but not often. It's exciting to find, yet another one!
:cheers2:
Chuck

Dear Chuck, JIm, and mid-60s Buick owners who love to see more Buicks saved! :hello2:

Wow! What a find! If the fellow doesn't mind, bring your camera and take a ton of pictures! There is of course the - isn't it beautiful - kind of pictures. :love4: But also try to take any pictures that would resolve how Buick actually did things in 1965. I know once in a while guys on this forum have a question that nobody seems to have a definitive answer to. This car could resolve some of those!

Perhaps after you meet with him, that will change for the better for all of us! :icon_thumright:
Cheers, Edouard :occasion14:

Wow another one in your area. It is too bad that he did not know about the event the week before. Now you need to find the guy who yelled at me that he had a convertible like my car when we were on the way back from the Gilmore.

Really nice looking car. Chuck, please get more pictures when you meet up.
