Post by: BuickGS65 on September 28, 2009, 07:53:30 PM
Anyone know where I can find a new or rebuilt POA valve for a '65 GS? Thanks!

I thought GM was still using suction throttle valves in 65. :dontknow:

Try here > http://www.oldairproducts.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=200_206_2061965

Actually, the STV went out about mid-year '65.  My '65 GS is one of the very first ones produced (01C production date), and it had a POA valve on it.  Call Classic Auto Air in Florida--they rebuild the POA valves.

Ok, so I looked under the hood (Again)....

Brian - you are correct. My '65 GS has a 15-51 Type 1 POA valve.

I called Classic Auto Air and they have a rebuilt one in stock. I believe it was $130 + $50 core... It should be here on Thursday.

THANKS

Cool!! Another new learned factoid to be filed into the memory banks. :headbang: I suppose it's time to check mine now.
