I have been trying to find a home for a rear clip for a couple of years with no success. I don't mind keeping it for the right home if one is really coming, but I don't want to store it for no reason. So, the question is, is a rear clip off of a 1965 Skylark really worth saving, or am I just wasting space? I know there are replacement panels available, but OEM is usually better, but I could be wrong. So, should I keep a 65 rear clip waiting for a new home, or should I just take it to the local salvave yard, and call it good. I really need the space......

Keep or sell, but don't scrap!

If I was closer I'd be all over it.

I think was EZ Cool said is the issue. You are in CA where most of the cars are rust-free, and the people restoring these cars with rust are in the Mid-west or further east, so access to it is an issue. If you can figure out a way to get it to the upper mid-west, it will sell!

Maybe I should cut it into pieces and sell quarter panel patch panels and taillight surrounding metal as separate items. Much easier to ship......

I just bought one last fall (a 65 hardtop)
The rear fenderwells had been rebuilt by hand by an owner before me, they are not perfect but close enough to work with when I'm finishing up the bodywork...
I've not seen any good quarters anywhere... aftermarket or not, unless they were on a $20,000 car
If you can't, do it or find someone who can fix them with patch panels by hand...
Time to sell
And if you really know someplace that's selling aftermarket quarter panels I would love to know who... I would consider doing mine over!
