Dear mid-60s Buick parts hounds,
Okay, okay, I know extremely little about Rivieras. I was a bit surprised to come across these nailhead brackets in chrome:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-nailhead-CHROME-p-s-AC-bracket-401-425-Riviera-Wildcat-GS-1963-64-65-66-/132255712141 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Buick-nailhead-CHROME-p-s-AC-bracket-401-425-Riviera-Wildcat-GS-1963-64-65-66-/132255712141)
The seller is Russell Martin's Centerville Auto Repair, so it is clearly legit. Judging from the photos, it does look like these parts were chrome from the factory. Can somebody educate me on the history of these chrome parts? Were they included on a particular trim package or were simply an option?
Cheers, Edouard

Dear Loren and mid-60s Buick experts,
Not aware of any chrome factory brackets.
Hmm, so da' plot definitely thickens . . . . .
The chrome clearly isn't brand new. So if these brackets weren't Buick factory, the most likely explanation is that they come off of an old hot-rod that is being parted out. It may not be that easy to sell these parts. They only belong in an "over the top" showy engine.
We shall see!
Cheers, Edouard
