Thanks for the warm wishes Barb. The last bit of ice in front of my garage melted this morning, Now its officially spring at my house.  :sunny:  I spent the afternoon re spooling wire in the welder, changing the compressors oil, and changing the media in the blasting cabinet. so I guess I'm ready to get back to working on the Buicks .

Snow is rapidly melting around here, but with that, it has revealed how much flotsam and jetsam the snow plows placed on my front lawn.   :angry9:  :angryfire:  :angry5:

There is a narrow strip of decorative granite stone between mine and my neighbors driveway. Somehow those plows managed to relocate a few hundred pounds of stone onto my lawn while they removed the snow windrows from the driveway meets the street. Not looking forward to that cleanup.

Dear Barb, Tony, Tom, and mid-60s Buicks looking forward to Spring,

Thanks for nice scenes of Spring!   I suppose I should get my camera out and do the same!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

P.S. I saw a full-sized Buick from the mid-60s 2 car lengths behind me.  That was too far away to get a very good look at it, but it does seem like classic car season has indeed arrived to Northern California.

Dear Barb and mid-60s Buick owners looking forward to Spring,

Wouldn't you know it.  I promised to take my camera with me and . . . . forgot!   :dontknow:  Still, if you have a smart-phone, you have a camera.  I caught this tree in bloom:

Not sure what kind of a tree it is, but it must be a tree that blooms late.  It is one of the last trees around here to go into bloom.

So as Spring finally comes to your corner of the world, by all means share it with us!  Don't forget to try to get your Buick into the picture for bonus points!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

That looks like a crab apple tree. I shot some photos of one in bloom quite a few years ago at an old friend's home using 35 mm film... Remember what that stuff was??   :icon_biggrin:  :help:  :idea1:

Dear Tom and mi-60s Buick owners who are around the age of their cars!

That looks like a crab apple tree. I shot some photos of one in bloom quite a few years ago at an old friend's home using 35 mm film... Remember what that stuff was??

*Sigh*, yes indeed I do remember 35mm film.  My parents helped me buy my first 35mm SLR in 1976.  While I stopped using it in 2009, I still have it!

Cheers, Edouard

I still have several rolls of Kodak ASA 200 35 mm film, and my Canon film camera. Maybe they'll come back in vogue ala 33 1/3 vinyl LP's.  :dontknow:   :headbang:  :icon_scratch:
