After giving this some thought, it appears that my next GS will not happen for some time. Therefore, I'm selling some of the 65 GS parts accumulated over the past dozen years. Please post your interest here so everyone has an opportunity.
I live in Canada, but may be able to ship from the US to US buyers. However, in order to not jeopardize my border crossing ability due to American rules covering international sales, I would require payment beforehand. I can check on shipping from here, but it will cost more $$$ and take longer. For Canadian buyers, we'll work out the exchange rate and go from there.
Unfortunately, I do not yet have a Paypal account. I might look into it, if necessary, although I have a general mistrust of electronic financial transactions
I'm willing to consider package deals on multiple items. Will also consider reasonable offers.
One CARS repro water valve for the 65 GS with factory AC. I paid $51.00, will sell for $30.00 US. PRICE REDUCED
One CARS non vented gas cap. I paid $7.50, will sell for $5.00 US.
NOS right side back up lens. It has some light scratch marks from being inside the box. Asking $25.00 US plus shipping. PRICE REDUCED!

The following items have been sold. Thank You!
Front parking/turn signal lenses including gaskets. These were from the initial run made by Chris Horn and have been in dry storage ever since. Asking $110.00 US plus shipping. SOLD!
Back up light lenses including gaskets, also from Chris's original run. Asking $60.00 US plus shipping. SOLD!
NOS RW 507 AR wheel bearing, one only in original, unopened box. Asking $50.00 US plus shipping. SOLD
One set of CARS tail lamp gaskets from 2013. This includes the six smaller lens gaskets. Package has never been opened. I paid $33.00 in 2013, will sell for $25.00 US plus shipping. SOLD
One CARS repro battery clamp and bolt. this does require slight modification to work properly. I paid $ $33.25 for both, will sell for $25.00 US. All above items were part of my 2013 order with CARS. SOLD!
One pair of used Skylark door emblems. One is decent, the other has blemishing. Both have intact mounts and speed nuts. See photos. SOLD!
Lastly I have 13 used taillight nut covers in good condition. Unsure of their value, so how does $ 80.00 US sound? SOLD
If additional photos are required, let me know and I'll add them or send via PM or email.

PM sent with my info. Don't want it posted on a public forum, as I'm sure you wouldn't either.

List updated as of March 24 @ 2040 hrs CDT.
Still available are the repro water valve, repro gas cap, and the NOS back up lens. Make offers on any of these. Rather see them put to good use than sitting in my basement.
EDIT: Original post modified to show sold items, and price reductions!

Update for those who purchased parts from this thread. It seems the postal sled dogs have gone into hibernation as I've yet to receive payments. Perhaps the pony express haven't been fully trained to take over that task. :director: :violent1:
Seriously, mail crossing the Canada/US border can take up to two weeks to arrive its destination. That's why I'm shipping from south of the 49th parallel, once all payments have arrived here. :cheers2:

Tom,
Do you have pictures of the repro water valve and gas cap? I would be interested in both pending pictures.

They were in my original post along with the hold downs, and managed to get deleted when editing. So here they are again by themselves.

Tom,
The cap is not what I am looking for. I will pass on that.
Does the heater valve have a notch in the area I have circled?
Loren
-
Loren, not sure what you mean by notch. It narrows down to hose size at that point with a 90 degree bend from the wider section to the narrower section.
It's still in the sealed package, but if necessary, I will remove it for a clearer photo tomorrow.
-
Here is a picture of a heater valve with a notched/ grooved area. The notch/ groove is where the valve sits on the bracket and a clip goes in the groove also to hold the valve in place.
Loren
-
The valve I have does not have that notch. :sad1:
-
Thanks Tom, hopped it would be correct. I guess I can't help get those off the shelf for you.
Loren
-
No problem Loren. I was 99.87637% certain this was a correct item when I bought it. Oh well, it doesn't take up much space.

Parts shipped today via USPS from Pembina, ND to Mark Ascher, gssizzler and GS65. PM's sent with tracking numbers to each. It was a nice day for a drive, but there was a $13.05 "surprise fee" waiting for me at US Customs. :angry1: It's a levy everyone must pay for taking the packages across the border to ship. I'm used to having a transponder in my big rig to cover that.
Oh well, it's only money, I can make more. :icon_biggrin:
