Dear George and mid-60s Buick DIY restorers,
That's definitely allowing you to get under the body more easily. However, it will definitely limit how much you can tilt the body. Does that feel sufficient to you to repaint as you desire? You are facing the usual problem. If you make a more elaborate rotisserie you will lose the time you spend building it. However, you might get that time back because it speeds up the body repair.

Not sure what you mean. I am putting the body on its side so I don't have to crawl under it. With the body on cinder blocks its a little shaky.

Not sure where you're going with you're design but what you have there looks a pretty scarey. I keep thinking you have earthquakes in California. Be careful, in my thirty year Navy career I buried three of my Sailors that where killed under there cars, it really can happen.

George, all I am trying to say is that in reading your own post you said that you would not be comfortable working under the car. If that's the case, you should be careful working next to the car. Be safe.

Perfect ! Now you can work on it and not have to worry about it falling on you .

Bottoms up! It's so much easier to stand up and work the bottom. Nice little engineering effort there also.
