Hello,
I broke one of my gas pedal mounting studs while fitting new carpet.
Does anyone have an extra for sale?
Thanks,
Robert
Its for a 1965 skylark.

Dear Robert and mid-60s Buick "darn I wish I hadn't broken that!" types . . .

Not to discourage anyone from offering one from their spares box, but if that doesn't pan out, I believe that is a part for which reproductions are make.
Cheers, Edouard
P.S. I could be wrong though! :angryfire:

I have an extra set from my parts car. They've been plated in black zinc. If interested, let me know, but note that I'm on vacation until late February, so won't be able to send picture or parts until then.

Here's a photo of the broken part next to a usable one.

It could be fixed if you need it asap..... Drill where it's broken, tap threads and install a short length of threaded rod.
Did you remove the broken piece from the floor?
They are avail as a repo, about $10 pair shipped.
May even be available from your local GM dealer. They were used for at least 1958-1970.

Usually it has been the ball end that was bad for me. The ones I've seen for sale, have a shorter hex area. If someone finds a source for a more correct new piece, it would be good to have it listed in the " 65 Skylark & GS Parts Sources " thread .

Tapped and used a piece of threaded rod as Walt suggested.
Thank You for the suggestion.
