Title: Riviera collection to be auctioned 11/19/2016, Iowa
Post by: WkillGS on November 15, 2016, 10:52:04 AM
The Terry Hodgen collection will be auctioned off in Granville, Iowa.
Much of his auto shop items will be included in this sale. A Buick parts auction may be held at a later date.

See the story on the Hemmings blog:

I know several of you are out that way and may even have known Terry.
Suppose it's very fortunate scrap metal prices are so low, hoping these cars find good homes.

Paging Mark Ascher.  This is 3.5 hours from Minneapolis and Mama has no plans for me this weekend.  The F250 has never been to Iowa.

Looks interesting, but until we get the '63 Riviera home, no need to look for parts.

very cold.  Jon dressed for the day.  I didn't.   There was a Riviera gran sport with dual quads.  car went for 1500.  I spoke with the son who was putting on the sale and he said he has some Buick "speed parts" including more dual quad set ups but he has not decided how he is going to market them.

Yesterday a full 24 hours ago! We got a chance to stroll down memory lane complete with not one but two  65 riv GS's and over 20 riv's 63 to 69 plus 2 wildcats to boot! There were many of these with cool options such as wonder bar radio's,am-fm, power vent Windows,Trumpet horns, to name a few! I picked up a set of much needed 15 x 7 rallies for the post car! Very good drivers for $35!A buddy bought two 65 riv's ! Good to see you guys there to!

Good to see you there. My friend went to look at the 67 Wildcat, and other 2 door, ruff. The 65 2X4 car was well worth the money. Lots of tools, bolts and other parts. Some trim clips and lug nuts but most for other than Buick and some big Buick. Good score one the wheels. We got there early and did get into one back room, all hard parts all Buick. Mostly nail, some 455 and other. Must have been 15 cranks all bagged and tagged. One 2/4 set up, just manifold and carbs. Stacks of big car air cleaners. One stack of 63 Riv. I did not need anything, and did not buy anything. Need to keep track of the Buick parts if he sells them. There must be other rooms that had trim and NOS parts. Overheard someone talking about the 2/4 NOS set ups, said he had seen one, a long time ago. I also was told by Terry that he had bought them from Buick. Thanks Bill.

Looks like I missed a good one .

Yes! I would place a value of close to 4 thousand on it with the options and it had a title ,a real gs! We were bidding on it to! Didn't know what to expect and didn't have time to come up with the extra funds ! If we could have, my buddy and I would have brought 3 trucks and trailers! And lots of Cash! We had a blast! My buddy picked up some very good buys for his business! There were some specialty tools that sold so cheap !
