Looking to purchase a torsion plate (between motor mount and side of engine) for the driver's side for newly acquired '65 GS coupe project car.

Anybody have a spare one of these torque plates or whatever they are called? I just got the engine back from the machine shop today, rebored, magna-fluxed, and ready to be reassembled.

Found a pair of the torsion plates in Tulsa, OK. They weren't cheap.
Now having a hard time finding the motor mounts. Been to three auto parts stores; all of them say they have it, but when they order it and it arrives, they are the wrong ones. Anybody have any tips on where to find motor mounts for the 401?

Pete ,
If you have the originals you could send them to Steele rubber products and they will rebuild them for you .
I sent mine in last week and they said they would be done this week and on there way back .

Hi Pete,

The only source for new mounts that I know of is Buick Farm.  I bought a set and they are good quality.  I recommend them.

Chuck,
Thanks for the lead, however, Buick Farm web site says the mounts are out of stock. May have to send the old ones in to Steele.

Sorry Pete, I didn't notice that when I posted the link.  If you would prefer the new ones, you might want to give Doug at Buick Farm a call and see if he has info on when/if he will be restocking.
