Title: 2009 BPG Columbus
Post by: Chris on August 06, 2009, 09:14:13 PM
Unfortunately, I didn't get to the show as quick as I wanted to and by time we got there, it rained like crazy!

I finally got to meet Tom Balz, Ted Nagel and Greg from Indiana (all great guys!) and of course my best friend from Cleveland (Tom Klepsky) was there.  ;D

Ted's Wildcat is unbelievable and both Ted and Tom walked away with show awards.

I didn't have a real good chance to snap a lot of pictures but Tom and I did manage to get a couple pictures of the "sisters" together.   ;)

See for yourself...

Chris,

Great photos of the twins!  I'm glad to see that you got your convertible back together in time for the show. Any more photos to share?

Chris, it was great to finally meet you as well. I instinctively knew who you were as soon as I saw your car at the front gate last Saturday. Thank you for the ride as well. Too bad in had to start raining the minute we left the track. :( I would've loved a top down cruise. :D

Unfortunately, I did not get to meet with Tom Klepsky, but did get a few photos of his car.

I was also fortunate enough to get a ride in Ted's gorgeous 65 Wildcat. Now that's something very few Canadians will ever be able to say, since 4 speed Wildcat were not available in Canada back in the day.

Hey Chris,

I hate to be so critical of your beautiful convertible, but I noticed that you need to move your grille emblem to the right a little.  Should be about 2 inches in from the end on the grille's bars. I know how you like to get things right.  ;)

Tom,

When you pass through KC, you'll get another GS convertible ride. Sorry that we couldn't get together last month.

Sorry John, that's all the pictures I have.

I put my daughter on "camera duty" and when we got home and I looked at her pictures, they were mainly pictures of those "black hair dryers" and a couple track side pictures (at least I know she's a Buick girl if maybe only a GN girl).

I noticed my emblem also John, I'll need to adjust that... thanks.

Chris,

Thanks for sharing the pics. The convertible looks great! I hope I get to meet some, or all, of you guys next summer in Ames. Brian Stone and I are hatching a plan for getting there.
I thought Ted was coming to the Twin Cities this year, but haven't heard from him...
