Post by: Buicknut65 on May 10, 2016, 08:23:21 PM
Looking for one with no cracks or issues . Saddle preferred but will take any color . Had guy fixing super small corner cracks and he
dropped and completely broke it . Said he'd give me 100 dollars like thats going to replace it   :angryfire: ........
Pics and price shipped to Ca 95004 .
Thanks

Ouch. Tough break. Those are very hard to come by in any reasonable condition and tend to be expensive. I think there are a couple floating around amongst the community.

I have one that would need to go to justdashes or equivalent for rebuild and that's a $700bill.

Good luck on your search! I'd love to see these reproduced. Someone is reproducing the 67..

Thanks,
Tony

I have one that someone recovered and it looks good, but not what you would call 100 % correct. I can get a pic if you want $160 and shipping.

Mike, was that wrapped with vinyl? I'll guess the grain pattern is different from original.
Considering the high cost of the Just Dashes process, this sounds like a great alternative!

Dear Walt, Buicknut65, and mid-60s Buick fans,

LOOKS STOCK DID A GREAT JOB BUT NOT CHEAP

Your photo is a bit fuzzy, but it looks indeed like a wonderful job.  It may not be concours, but it certainly will make your Buick look great!

Cheers, Edouard

Title: I know a Buick wagon when I see it! (Re: 65 dash pad )
Post by: elagache on May 14, 2016, 05:10:50 PM
Dear Buicknut65, Jim, and mid-60s Buick fans (including longroofs!)

installed looks good

Yes it does!  However, I can't help but ask about the car in front of your dashpad recipient.  Sure looks to me like you've got a 1964-65 Buick wagon parked in front!  I see an unmistakable Buick wagon right tail-light . . .

Tell me more!! (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/bouncey.gif)

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Dear Buicknut65, Kevin, and mid-60s Buick fans of cool longroofs! . . .  :glasses9:

Yes pro touring 65 Special Wagon

Okay so far so good!  :love4:

Chevy crate 350

(http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/wink.gif). . . . Oh da' shame . . . . (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/noway.gif)

smoothed fire wall with vintage AC / Heat

It is very different, but I like the way the A/C vents have been done.  So how did you get the vents integrated under the dash so nicely? (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/question_mark_confused.gif)

700 R

Hardened 200-4R . . . . 700-R4 . . . what's the difference? (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/shrug_shoulders_confused.gif)

4 wheel disc

Okay that's still on the do-to list.  Right now my wagon only has front disc brakes and they are for 14" wheels.

full custom leather interior on and on .

Okay, that's cool!  :glasses9:  I prefer quality fabric upholstery looks closer to what Buick originally had in these cars, but everybody's different.

So do tell us still more!

Curious minds want to know!  :laughing7:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
