Wheelz, I'm running up to Chuck's Friday to look at an inner fender if it doesn't work out I'd like to be in line for your passenger inner fender and possibility some AC components.
Truth be told I, really just want to see Chuck's car, I think I can learn something.

I can relate to this too.

Even as an administrator, I have no reference to someone in regards to the user name.

Sometimes makes it difficult to know who has e-mailed or pm'd me.

Well guys...the foedoe is home now. It has quite a bit of nice used parts.  Some parts like the VERY NICE door emblems...hood ornament and taillight center emblem,  he decided to keep.   :BangHead: arrrgh.   Still, this car sports good stuff. I will be posting pix of stuff you guys are in line for, over the next few days.
I am planning to move fairly fast on parting this car out, so I say in advance, list your wants/needs and Thanx for your continued interest.

First group of pix: BRAKE BOOSTER for CHUCK...its not real good, pitted and NO Delco Morraine stamping. May be a replacement. sorry.

Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Thanks Dennis.  Yeah, that one looks just about like the one I have.  Sorry, I'll have to pass.

By the way, my restorer, who has done a ton of Pontiacs with these boosters tells me that the factory original boosters from Delco Moraine did not have it stamped into the face of the booster.  Only the service parts were stamped.  So I'm quite sure this one is original to the car.

Thanks again and good luck with your part sales!

Chuck

This Group of A/C pix for Kevin Rollaround:  It appears everyting is intact with the exception fo the compressor and brackets... dash vents, center dash vent, heater box and plastic directive manifold, blower box, fan, hoses, condensor and original mounting brackets, muffler, receiver/dryer, all under hood lines, connectors, relay, cables and dash control ( not shown but in a box with other parts)  it certainly looks like its all there! EXCELLENT for someone wanting all original 65 GS A/C parts under their hood!!!

I was just informed:  Dennis, Just in case you are not aware, the condenser mounting brackets and the A/C hoses that attach to the compressor are different between a Skylark and a GS.    Loren

ThanX!  No. I did not know that... something to consider all you a/c guys...

Thanks Wheelz! I think I will take the brake pedal pad and the parking brake pad if they are the original ones (and if they're cheap :) ) I will put them on my survivor.

Be veryyyyyy careful removing the turn signal buckets - the studs will snap easily.

Keep me posted. Thanks!

Dan and all you guys. . , ThanX for your interest in parts.
My wife and I have been fighting that dern flu thing goin round since last wednesday, walked off the Praise team platform just after completing our 8 song set sunday morning, a ball of sweat, cold and trembling...went right home and crashed....found out Pastor requested an alter call and The Team played 2 more songs WITHOUT A DRUMMER....  ugh.   Can you say Worhsip Music UNPLUGGED?
I finally got to see the Doc noon today and was subscribed me ZPAK...Keep ya posted on my recovery!

I am familiar with the studs twisting off on the sig turnal buckets...because of that, I gathered some energy today and went out sprayed PBBlaster on them along with bumper bolts, core support bolts, hood hinges..etc...

LET THE DISMANTLIBNG BEGIN!!!  :tongue3:

Checked my Buick parts book

Listing shows : Hood hinge  64-65  Special    1366260 -R   261 -L

So there is only one style, used in 1964 and 1965. Part number ending 260 is for the right side, part number 261 is for the left side.
It is listed as " Special ", because that is the base model of the Skylark and Gran Sport.

Parts book also lists the hood springs as applicable 1963- 1967. Was surprised by that one.

Original finish was a dark grey phosphate finish.  Happen to have a pair of NOS hinges here [not for sale] , so I could post pictures if anyone is interested.

If Dennis doesn't have what you need, and if you are looking for a fan for a 300 with A/C, I have an original 7-blade fan with clutch.  I also have the shroud to go with it if needed.  PM me if Dennis doesn't have what you need.

If you decide to go the Vintage Air route, I can probably give you some pointers because my trusty 1965 Buick Special wagon has been upgraded to Vintage Air (she used to only have "roll down the windows" air!  :laughing7:  ).  There are some tricks to get Vintage Air to work with a 1964-5 Buick A-body (perhaps others.)

Unfortunately one serious obstacle is mounting the Sanden compressor.  I had a custom big-block Buick engine built for my wagon and the engine builder managed to splice the Sanden compressor bracket into a Buick big-block bracket for the AC compressor of the day.  You might need to do the same if you want to stick with the Buick 340 that's in your 'Lark right now.

Of course you could always go for a Buick big-block!!  Somebody is now making brackets for the Sanden compressor for that engine.  Unfortunately, it may be a bit of a hard sell to insist you need a Buick big-block just because it is the only Buick engine right now with an "off the rack" bracket for the Vintage Air compressor!  :laughing7:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

There was a 7 blade fan available (non-clutch) that works very well. I'd suggest one of those over the 4 blade ones.

Haha, well swapping motors to get the right bracket is a bit overkill for me  :laughing1:. Besides, my 340 has already been rebuilt and never fired, so I'll be sticking with it for quite some time. Also, I work with Laser Measurement devices for a living, so I'll probably just 3D scan the mounting holes of the 340 head in relation to the existing pulleys and then scan the hole locations of what ever pump I use. I can then use that data to reverse engineer a bracket that works for both! Easier said than done, but still in the realm of possibility  :occasion14:

Cool. I've found a few universal 7 blade flex fans that supposedly fit the 300/340 water pump. Are those the ones you're talking about?
