Title: Headliner Color
Post by: Dr Frankenbuick on November 17, 2015, 06:05:50 AM
How can you tell what color the headliner should be if it is missing?  Trim code is black vinyl - 158.  I know my white trim code 65 GS has white seats, door panels and headliner. Someone asked about a 65 with a black trim code and silver headliner and wanted to know if the headliner is correct.

158 had a metallic silver headliner. Sail panels and sun visors also silver. SMS sells the correct headliner and material. Package tray is black.

Is there a decoding site somewhere for trim codes?  I have an old Year One catalog, but it only breaks out the trim codes by year for seats and suggests to match the door panels.

Not that I know of that relates to interior trim beyond the actual interior color. You'd probably have to scrounge a dealer album that has swatches to get that type of info.

I mean more like XXX trim code in 19XX = X seats, x headliner/sail panels/sunvisors, x carpet, x door panels.
