Hey guys. Looking to put new front coils in my 65 GS. Currently it has chevelle springs which are a few years old and never gave me the heighth I wanted. The heighth now is 23 3/4 from floor to wheel well. I have on 215-70 tires. I would like to get about an inch or inch and a half more heighth. Can anyone recommend what springs to get?
Thanks, John

I know Dan had custom rear springs made, maybe fronts are available too. Or try a/c springs. I ordered mine from Espo Springs n Things.

I'm 90% sure I got mine from Year one about 10 years ago. I'm sure they still sell them.

Moog 6033's are a match for '66 GS springs, but '65 GS's used a different spec.
I run bigger 235/60-15's in the front. Height from center of wheel to the fender lip is about 13". And 25" from ground to fender lip on my '66.
I'm using 6197's in the rear.
Here's a tire size chart:
http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/carclub/tiresize.html (http://www.angelfire.com/pa5/carclub/tiresize.html)
215/70-14 are 25.85" tall
235/60-15 are 26.10" tall.

Using Espo Springs and Things coils in the front. AC car sits at 25" ground to middle of the wheel well molding with 225/50-17's. Wheels are 7" wide and have 4" of backspacing and the tires will rub in a tight turn.

Looks like Dan`s 17 inch tires are the same heighth as my 14s. I should be able to get the 25 inch heighth using the espo springs. I`ll order them for an AC car although mine is not. I`ll contact espo.

I bought my '66 GS springs from Espo too. Good price, and great service. She's pretty sharp when it comes to picking the correct spring for your desired ride height.
In my case, I told them exactly what I wanted since I did my research and found my match.
What springs do they recommend for the 65's?
