Dear John, Dan, and mid-60s Buick eBay gamblers, . . . .
I found the number , turns out it is correct !! wish it had a ( buy it now ) .
Ouch, I really hate to need something that is in auction format. I'm more than willing to play when I don't really need the item. Alas when you do, you need to decide how much you are willing to pay and then use that bid skillfully hoping nobody else is of a like mind.
Good luck! Edouard

It is a relisted item. Didn't sell at $29.9?.
Thought about a last minute bid on the first round. LOL
Is that you with the first bid John?

Loren , yeah I through a bid on it so I could watch it .
-
Loren you should have bought it the first time around ! You could have turned it for some profit .
LOL
I didn't even win it :icon_scratch:

I will probably stand corrected, but I thought an original fuel pump could be disassembled for rebuild?

Dwaine,
Yep. Those are replacement, but fits, functions the same.

Mark, are the 2 piece ones original for 65's, or the 1 piece?
AFAIK, the 1 piece is made by AC, the 2 piece by Carter. Can someone confirm?
And do these old pumps hold up to today's fuels? I have a couple NOS ones for '66. Hope they last.

Walt,
Two piece, rebuildable are the originals for 65. I assume same as 66, but don't know.
I am not sure as far who manufactured what. I have a 2 piece NOS pump on mine and have
had no problem with current fuel, 92 octane, other than I'm not going to let it sit too long
without running it. Had to replace the accelerator pump last year.

You can still buy this fuel pump brand new at NAPA. Part #M4553 for less than $30.00
