After 6 + months OPGI has shipped my chrome interior paddle door handles.

I hope they are worth the wait.

Milton,

The originals are rechromable! JR's is right up in your neck of the woods...

Mine have small pimples in pot metal so I thought I would give OPGI a try for $60 / pair and see what happens.

If it doesn't work out JR is a good suggestion.

True enough. That isn't bad. Let us know how they look.

My pair of Original Parts Group Inc (OPGI) Interior Paddle Chrome Door Handles showed up on Tuesday 7/27/15.

I used parts # CT20230CH. This is the chrome not brushed set.

Big picture I am very happy with what I was sent.

The new handles have a raised key on the external top and bottom of the section that gets screwed on.

This section is hidden by the arm rest pad and doesn't cause any issues with fit or function.

This handle is sold to cover several years and models which probably accounts for the extra key material.

OPGI provides screws to attach the handles.

I have attached pictures of the new and old handles.

The finish on the new handles is a lot smoother on areas you don't see when installed.

The very top pad on the handle looks a little wavy under the chrome if you look real close in bright sun that you may not get if you have your old handles re-chromed.

In looking at my pictures it looks like the two handles may not be exactly the same size. They are really the same size.

Like I said, I am very pleased with these reproductions and they look a whole lot better than the pitted old ones I had.

Dear Milton, Mark, and mid-60s Buick fans,

Thanks for the report!

OPGI isn't prefect, but I get the feeling there is a sincere effort to get quality products out there.  The execution needs improvement, but at least now and then you can get a product that really replaces the original part.

Cheers, Edouard

I was wondering if OPGI is selling the TrimParts piece-does this one look different?

Ted

If you look at the middle picture I attached real closely you will see some extra metal on top of the portion you push on for the door splines and my original handle doesn't have that.

It looks to me like the OPGI and TrimParts handles are not the same.
