I was contacted yesterday by a guy I know that runs a shop that builds manual transmissions and he recently acquired an original 65-66 GS close ratio 4-speed transmisison. He said all the gears and shafts in it look to be in great condition, but that it will need to be freshened up with new sliders and synchro rings. These are getting really hard to find, so it is a good chance for someone to grab a spare or pick up one for a conversion project. He will take $500 for it (really good price for one of these). If theres no takers from anyone on this site by the end of this weekend I might be interested in just putting it in my inventory .

Someone from the board contacted me early yesterday and I think they are going to purchase it for their car. I will post once I know for sure the deal has gone thru.

Jim , I was thinking the same thing . As hard as it is to find some of these parts I like the idea of having spares .
I,m use to having spare parts around , back in my younger days I needed a lot of them . LOL
Some day I,ll explain why . :BangHead:
