Title: 14" Buick chrome wheels--73-77 version
Post by: Brian on June 09, 2015, 01:17:04 PM
Set of 4 of the 73-77 vintage 14" chrome wheels.  Excellent driver set. 4 of the wheels are in good condition, and the 4th is in fair condition with the chrome being dull and a couple rust dots in one area (first two pics are the fair condition wheel).  All 4 have been bead blasted on the back side and circumference and painted.  Area between the spokes is clean and ready for the purchaser to paint the color of their choosing.  I can deliver them to the BCA show in Springfield.  If you show your car and have bias-plys on it, these would be great to put a set of radials on and use for driving to crusie-ins or sunday drives.  $125 for the set.    Oh, and being the newer style, these will clear on cars with disc brakes unlike the original 65-67 wheels.

Can anyone help decode the date code on these wheels?  Going to advertise them elsewhere and see if I can move them on--taking up too much room in the shed!

Brian, 914 wheels are '73 - '77 vintage and have 4" of back spacing. Doubt if you really need a finer date code but if you do the information for that is stamped into the edge of the backside of the rim.

Thanks for the information Dan!  That is exactly what I needed to know!  Changed to title to reflect the information.
