Title: WTB "Wildcat 445" silk screen Decal on aluminium for air cleaner

Hi Guys

As I am getting ready for Springfield I noticed a few scratches in my air clear decal so I trashed it.   Normally these are available from both OPG and CARS.  Obviously I need the one that is silkscreen and mounted on aluminum.   Unfortunately both companies took my orders and then called me back and told me these are on back order until July.  The incorrect sticker/decal type are available but are not correct. Does anyone have one lying around that they have not installed yet that they would sell me?  I am starting to panic on this one part.  Everything else seems to be available with some effort (i.e. money).

Any help sure would be appreciated.

  I kinda have one. I restored the original single 4bbl air cleaner assembly off of my car many years ago and hung it on the wall since I put 2-4s on my car when I restored it.  It has a brand new one of those aluminum Wildcat 445 labels on the lid.  I can bring the whole lid off of it with me to Springfield and let you borrow it for the show if that will help.

Good News.  These are back in stock at "Cars".   Did not find it on the website but called them to see if they had them back yet and they said they had "some" come in.  He confirmed that these are the silkscreen on aluminum type.   $42.00 with shipping.  Btw the 14.00 type is just a sticker and is not at all right.

Are these decals for the single four barrel and or what does the dual quad set up use ?

These are for the single 4bbl cars. Dual Quad air cleaner uses a much smaller "Super Wildcat" decal.
There was a guy making these on metal like the original ones, but don't know if he still does.

They have both the Wildcat 445 and Super Wildcat decals.  I've sent an email asking what materials they are made from.  I'll post their response here.

Ordered 2 - they arrived damaged. CARS is sending 2 more. The packaging seemed marginal to me.

I just received my undamaged piece. This was a second attempt because the first one was damaged. It looked like it was the fault of the shipper. CARS sent me a new one at no charge without any hassle. I think they have had problems with shipping because the second piece was in a larger box. I really have to relate to some of these issues because being in any kind of business is difficult with the carefree attitude of others involved in your transactions.
