walking through a local wrecking yard yesterday and spotted this 65. looked like the transmission exploded and blew a big hole in the floor pan. I wasn't sure it was a GS until I got close enough to see the trim had been added. still has boxed frame and big block steering column. the car is pretty much just a shell and not worth restoring as far as I can tell.

Fremont car. Did you take a pic of the VIN?

Wish I could find a shell like that around here .
I could use the roof and the column . :crybaby2:

John,
PM RobK. He could help in getting it to MN if it could be bought.

What were they asking for that car?

Looks like that may be an original 65 wheel on the right rear--I would take any and all original 65 wheels that may be on it. I currently have 2 good ones and one that could be used for a spare.

The rear bumper looks savable from that view too. It still fits the body nice & tight. GS roof trim still there too.
Also a late car - 4th week of July build.

Hey GranSportSedan do you know if he wants to sell the whole car ?
Funny how these cars are popping up all of a sudden .
Im waiting for a guy to send me pictures of a 65 conv. parts car also .
-
I think they want to sell it whole and not part it out.. that's funny because most of the good stuff has already been removed.
I will get the V.I.N next week when I go back out there. the car is in Western Oregon

Stopped back by this place and asked about the 65 since it wasn't sitting in plain sight anymore. he said they decided to make a drifting car out of it.
