I lost the thread where someone sent an orignal boot to make some new ones?
Any update on this yet? >:(

Joe, the thread was for the boot on the clutch linkage, next to the bellhousing.
For the non console shifter boot, don't hold your breath.....the 65-67 GS used a round shifter handle so it's unique to those years.
There is a repo for the later Olds that looks similar, but is larger and is for a rectangular shifter handle. Avail from Fusick and the Parts Place for about $50
The 67 Chevelle repo fits well but doesn't have the correct look.....$20 for the boot, $20 for the retainer. The retainer is the same as our GS's.

Hey Walt, did you post a picture on the ch^&* boot
with the repops? I saw a 65 Ch^&* post car with a shifter handle similar to the Buick.
The boot at least had a round opening, is the difference in how it meets the hump?
looks like the chev had a flat area to bolt the ring to.
Clutch ball/fork pivot boot was sent to Frank a while ago, I may check with him on progress.

Guys,
I sent my original, admittedly well-worn, bellhousing boot to Doug Dougherty at the Buick Farm. I haven't heard of any progress on it yet. Maybe he can give us an update.

Ted, I thought I had some pics here somewhere.....
Here it is again. Stock 66 boot on the left, Chevelle boot on the right.
Chev boot has a round hole. This one was just stretched by using it on a Hurst shifter.

There was another style shifter boot on some 65's. Mark posted a pic in the gallery.

That isn't close enough Walt?
Looks real good in the picture.
