Ok I have had a few emails from people intersted in buying some of my original parts and I am interested in doing some trading so lets see whats out there. I have my original chrome air cleaner that I would trade for a qjet version also in chrome, I also have the original bellhousing that came on my 3 speed/nailhaid that I'd like to trade for a good bellhousing for my 455/4speed combo. I also have the set of rods/pistons that i wont be using, the original 401/4b intake, and frame mounts that I wont be using. If you need these parts and want to trade please let me know.

If you really want to get rid of the Nailhead bellhousing and linkage, I have the aluminum Buick bell that will fit the 455. I also have the z-bar and other parts that goes with it, all from a '66 Special.
Linkage is different between Nailhead and all the others, only the pedals are the same.

PM sent Walt.

-

I would be interested in the Spark Plug Wire Stands that go on top of the Valve Covers if the chrome is still good.
I don't see them in the pictures.
I would also be interested in the chrome Valve Covers and chrome VC Bolts if they are good and not spoken for.

-
MDKD, The valve covers are very good driver quality with some surface rust on the inside. I don't have the wire stands or bolts though.
-
I am starting to believe there are still a few honest people out there...... If no one wants the stick parts,I would like to get in line...linkage, bell housing, and flywheel, Dan

ouch! funny I bought this GS because I couldnt afford a Chevelle SS :overthetop:
-
Russell seems to be proud of his parts. I dealt with him some 30 years ago, before it became a business. Maybe it is the California economy reflected in the price?
Loren
-
It's only $475 on his website.
I just missed one on eBay a few years ago that he had bought for $175. Maybe it's the same one!
His prices are often high, but it's his livelyhood.... everybody needs money.
Lots of great info about Nailheads on his site, check it out. He does offer some items not available elsewhere, for example, he repo's the chrome plug wire brackets MDKD inquired about.

I didn't mean to sound critical of his prices I just meant I bought my car literally because the price initially was cheaper than a chevelle but I never have been good at project car math lol. Anyway I'm happy to sell what I have to you all at a fair price and hopefully I can find the parts on here as well.

Thanks for the heads up on the chrome plug wire holders for the aluminum and chrome valve covers.
They look to be bent in the correct directions compared to my originals.
I will have to try contacting tomorrow and see if they are currently available and what price.

I have been on business and unable to check in until now. Still intersted in the pulley and spacer. Do you also have the lower crankshaft pulley? Still have a few days of being out and will log back in then. Dwaine
-
Yes I do Dwaine.
-
If for any reason the stick shift linkage, and bellhousing should become available again, I would take them, especially if all the necessary hard to find parts were there. If not, oh well, I snoozed, I loosed.
Is loosed even a word? :icon_biggrin:
