Title: Forum mini pictures

All

I have been trying to figure out a way to see a larger view of the mini pictures we have on the Forum posts next to our names.

I can make it somewhat larger on my iPad touch screen but the pictures change to a lighter intensity shortly after I bring them up.

A lot of these pictures look real interesting but these old eyes are not what they used to be.

I have the same issues. I don't know if it possible to get a larger, clearer photo. Chris, did you have that built into the program?

Hi Guys,

Is the small picture that you are talking about the one I've circled in the attached picture?  If so, these are called avatars and the size of these pictures are reduced to a smaller size automatically by the application.  They are only intended to represent the member and quickly identify them and because they are reduced down, the quality of the picture is lost and only the original picture would be suitable for enlarged viewing.

When it comes to web based applications, it's the size and number of images on a page that impacts how fast a page loads so things like avatars are kept and displayed as small files and attachments are first displayed as "thumbnails" first and can be expanded into the larger pictures by clicking on them.

I appreciate the update.

If people care to share their pictures on a larger scale they would need to enter them as attachments in the Forum or submit them in the Gallery

I would not vote to slow down the load process to make the Avatars larger.
