This is just a thought at this time, but I am wondering if there is much interest in merchandise items with the "65GS.com" logo on them.
Somethings that come to mind, coffeecup, Teeshirt, sweatshirt ,etc.
I am interested in some feedback on this, as a small profit from something like this could create a way to afford changes to the site and in return would help promote the site.
Thanks, Loren

I'd buy a T-Shirt to wear at the Buick events. This would be a great way of promoting the site as well as letting others know that I have an interest in the 65's. Letting everyone you walk by know that you are into 65's always leads to making new friends and often can lead to offers for buying parts and even cars.
Just need to offer a shirt in 4 XLT for us "little guys" out there. :)

Loren,
I'll have some shirt design options worked up before the Spring Extravaganza Party.
I had a cool 65 GS coffee cup I used for years, bought it from a guy at the GM show
in the early 90s, but it met it's end in a driveway accident - never saw the vendor again.
And maybe some little decals like Carmen has...?

This would make for a cool T-Shirt, mouse pad or coffee mug.
Would need to be cleaned up and colored but it could be used as a base.
Enjoy,
Chris

I would buy a long and a short sleve.....
The login page tex and picture whitout the different pages for this forum
over the (Buick Tachometer) would make a very nice and cool print on a T-shirt.

Let's form a design committee. LOL Should have those T-shirts out in three or four years.
Great idea Loren. I would certainly buy a T-shirt and coffee mug.

Count me in for Coffee Mug, Sweatshirt, Long Sleeve Shirt, Hats, Window Decals etc.
This can go a long way in promoting our 65GS.com existence and starting a lot of new conversations.

Loren,
I would like to have a Tee shirt with the Website's logo, tach and GS photo included. I think that going through Cafe Press would be best, that way we could do a group order rather than having to carry an inventory ourselves of various sizes, etc. I'm not sure how that would work, but I think Chris has some insight about Cafe Press. Chris, do you still have the artwork file of the logo?

Count me in on a t shirt. A window decal for the car with the web site on it would be a good way to get the message out. Everuone looks at the cars. Vinnie

Here's a link to the Cafe Press where I got my polo shirt a few years ago, the 65 GS design. The 65 morphs into GS. I have worn it out as this is one of my favorite GS car shirts. They also do custom printing for artwork submitted to them.

Vinnie, great idea about the decals! I want one or two or three.
One of the most important criterias to keep in mind, there needs to be some mark up so the extra bucks can be used to upgrade the website.

I would buy some merchandise to advertise the site. I wear lots of short-sleeve T-shirts in the summertime. Only suggestion I have is to keep the shirt simple, and use quality shirts. If it has a large printed picture on the back, I am not likely to wear it because the picture area seals off the shirt and doesn't let it breathe, so they are extremely hot to wear down here in the south where I live. The shirts I wear the most have just a few words/small picture on the front top or on the front top left area.

Brian,
I agree with you about big print on the back of shirts. When I ordered my polo shirt from Cafe Press, I ordered it without a design on the back, just the pocket design only. No problem for them.
Another idea, my wife has printed her own "iron on" designs and photos onto tee shirts. All you need is the design, iron on paper stock, a computer, printer, iron and ironing board. The only downside to that is that they tend to fade quicker in the wash as apposed to a commercially printed shirt.

Just think of the possibilities! I would wear a t-shirt proudly!
mugs, magnets, license frames, stickers (a kids got have stickers!) :rocker:

Maybe a sew on one with your GS registry number/s as well.

Cafe Press or Zazzle is the way to go in my opinion and basically all you do is set your upload your images, select what you want to sell on your online store (they supply the site and tools) and set the margins. They do everything else from process the orders to producing and shipping the product and they even manage the returns if they occur.
Here is a site I built a couple of years ago --> www.RockStarHare.com (http://www.RockStarHare.com)
Yes I have most all of the original art for the site and I can help throw some things together if help is needed.

Or a dash plaque with the registry number.

Count me in for at least two T-shirts in either XXXL or XXXXL tall please, and one or two cups as well. How about an insulated 20 ounce beverage container?? I always use one of those when working on the road.
