Title: TA HEADERS?_2015CHB
Post by: bobbybuick on November 19, 2012, 05:43:19 PM
These any good and will they fit a manual car??
Product ID: TA_2015CHB
Chrome Finish Nailhead Header, 1-5/8"x3"

Competition Headers are the traditional full length header and are the most widely used for street/strip applications. Good ground clearance for full length headers. 1-5/8? primaries, 3?collectors. Other headers in the past used an undersized 2-3/4? collector. 25-30 HP gain over stock

There have been reports of poor ground clearance with TA headers. Be prepared to heat/bend them to get the collectors higher.
I'm using a set from Kustom and ground clearance isn't very good..... gotta be real careful over speedbumps. :nono:
1-5/8" is common on the primaries, collector sizes varied from 3" to 2-1/2" on the later GSCA repos.
HP increase is likely exagerated. The stock manifolds are said to work pretty well.

Brian had headers on his 4 speed car. There was some interference, maybe he'll respond here with details.

There was a set on eBay for $249 (+$50 shipping). Auction just ended with no bids. Now relisted.
