Not sure if I'm finally getting senile :dontknow: . Or if mine were missing. About to drop off a batch of plating and don't see mine.
Anyone have a spare set for my resto ? If mine turn up I'd gladly return a re plated / restored set for the trouble.
Thanks,
DL

Am I using the right term ? or no one has any ? :dontknow:

Don,
Yes, they appear to be difficult to find. Not all cars had them. Of the three GSs that I've had, I think only one car had them.

John,
What plant manufactured the car with the tail lamp screw covers ? Some cars have them and some don't.

That's a good question. My car is Baltimore if that helps.

I looked at a 19,000 mile Flint 4 door about a month ago that had them. This was also a June 65 build.
Maybe early cars didn't have them, and they were phased in on later cars?

Out of the 15 or 16 specials , skylarks and gs's that I parted that had the nut covers all were built in late may or after, they were also Flint and Kansas cars! I also parted a 66 special that had then too! ?
but it only had 8! if this helps! Jon

Good info Jon. If you find another set while out yarding please let me know. I might can check on local 66/67's.

Dan,
Off hand I can't remember for sure. Might have been the Kansas City built red convertible. However, I've bought many sets over the years and some had them, some did not. I probably had six extra sets plus the ones that were in the cars. I may have just had a collection and saved them up and put them on later. Regardless, if one Buick had them, surely there must be other models, other years that would also have used them. Wonder if Chevy, Pontiac or Olds would have also used them? Salvage yard search?

Where the jack is positioned it makes sense. You don't jab your hand on the screws. Is 66/67 Jack in same place ?

I was thinking 8 per side, but I'll take any amount I can get.
Thanks again,

You are right it is 8 per side. I checked the tailights in the Parts For Sale posting.. I found 8, so send me a PM so I can get them to You.
