Title: Door Lock Plunger Color

All

My 65 GS Convert came to me with chrome Door Lock Plungers.

I own my parents 64 Special Deluxe 4 door they bought brand new Good Friday 1964 and it has gray Door Lock Plungers with gray interior.

The Gallery shows cars that go both ways.

I found a pair of red ones to match my interior in my parts bin so I'm covered both ways.

What is correct?

Milton,

The factory never delivered a car with chrome door lock plungers, or knobs. They should be color keyed.
At least for the 65s....

Thanks Mark for the clarification

I think the Red Lock Plungers in my parts bin came from a previous red interior 65 GS when I replaced them with Lock Plungers that didn't have a mushroom at the top as a anti-theft procedure.
