Title: in the market for a restored 65-66 GS
Post by: GranSportSedan on May 13, 2012, 05:12:05 PM
Hey guys, I am finally in a position to afford a restored or very nice original car and would love to find a 65 or 66 GS. a post car would be acceptable as would a hardtop but prefferably not a convertible or A/C equipped car. also trying to avoid black cars. looking to spend no more than 25K. Bob

Hi Bob,

I have a numbers matching protect'o plate coupe that has been under restoration and is a very solid Nevada car.  It was originally Turquoise Mist but is currently in bare metal and could be any color you'd like.  It has rally rims, automatic transmission with tach and has a brand new interior package (new black door panels, seat covers, headliner and carpet) that will go in it.  A previous owner had the seats covered in a really nice cloth material since it's not an AC car and the new owner would get both.  With new paint, choice of interior installed and rechromed bumpers I would consider serious offers in the $22,000 range and have the shop that's handling the work kick the restoration in gear.

Well Bob, you probably already know this..... contact Jimmy for a '66 GS (he knows where ALL of them are!)  or Mike for a '65 in the Ca area.
I generally use the Jaxed.com search engine to see what is out there.
There's a nice red/red '65 GS in WA on eBay, ends 5/25.
Do you have any preferences for color?

Bob, I would consider selling by 66GS survivor car with new running gear. Nice solid Calif., no rust car.
