Chris, you need this GS so that you will have a matched pair. I can't figure out the grille emblem. Must be some kind or awarded plaque or something like that. The wheels would look better painted factory black. Other than that, it looks like a decent GS convertible for a great price.  I live about 3 hours away from this GS. If anyone is seriously interested, for the cost of gasoline, I'll go have a look at it and send photos.

"Hey Anne, I found this white 65 GS convertible in Kansas and I want to buy it"

The last thing heard before the gunshots....   :confused3:

I value my life... so I won't even ask my wife.   :angel4:

It will be done by June for sure. If we have a normal or even early spring, I may be able to handle it before our April trip.
Then it will be car building time :blob7:

I have the same one too... It would be great to have twins, but the wife said I would be sleeping in it. So I think I will pass on this one... Did anyone notice that
there are NO GS emblems on this GS or do I need stronger glasses???? someone let me know !!
                                                                                      Thanks. Tony

Tony,

How could I have missed the fact that there were no GS emblems? This is why we gotta stick together as a close knit group. I'd hate to have anyone mislead into a misrepresented high dollar purchase. It looks like it does have the correct ventiports, but that does not make it a '65 Skylark Gran Sport.  It really needs to be personally inspected to be sure. If anyone is a serious buyer, I will do the inspection for you.

Copied from the ad, I've highlighted, and underlined my concerns

This is an authentic Gran Sport in every detail; 401cuid nailhead small block, drive train upgrades, ect - except for the steering wheel (walnut racing) and the air cleaner (chrome). All matching numbers, every option but a few. This auto is in excellent running order and has always been kept in such; 3 month old valve job and new bands in the 300 PowerGlide tranny. Every piece of original trim is in place, save 3 items.

And here I been mislead all this time, thinking I had a big block in my GS.lol

I counted at least 4 trim pieces, ie the emblems. Also noticed a very rusty drivers rear quarter.

Dan,

Old dog learning new tricks.lol  I found out what [Ctrl +] combination does.  Try it, kinda neat.
Likewise,  [Ctrl-] makes it smaller.
