I recently purchased my first 65 GS, and got to drive it last week before the snow hit. Have to admit, it is a fun little car to drive.
The car has power steering, brakes, windows, seat, A/C, 4 speed, dual quads, am radio with rear speaker.
A/C was just converted over today, and the system blows cold now. The car is in for a good check up , tune up and have the carbs rebuilt, so it will be ready to go when spring is upon us.

Congrats Mark and welcome to the club.
Just remember that you don't own the car... it now owns you. :laughing7:
Where are you from? I'm sure we have members here that are close by you.

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the '65 Skylark GS clubhouse. I see that you have also registered your GS with the Registry, thanks. I believe that we met sometime at one of the BCA shows. I have met your dad who is also a Buick owner. Guess it runs in the family. Your new Skylark GS will keep your Wildcat company. Glad to have you aboard.

Enjoy!

Hi guys,
I am no stranger to the Buicks, I have owned several over the years, including the 65 Wildcat convert that John is refering to. Hi again to you John. 3rd generation Buick lover, my father taught me well.
I have a friend in Texas that bought a 65 Convert that has spoken to me about the car he bought, claims how nice it is to drive, how much fun, and so forth, so I had to find one for my own to see just what the talk is all about. I am very glad I did!
My mechanic has it now, going thru the carbs and A/C. He fell in love with the car, keeps calling to tell me about it, cant believe how dry the car is underneath and how solid it is. It was a Cal Blk plate car, so that helped out quite a bit.
Walt, the A/C was tested after being converted yesterday, my mechanic drove the car, said it worked very well, I'll take his word for as it was only 26 degrees yesterday, yep, I bet it did blow cold!
I currently live in eastern IA, and own nine Buicks from a 46 Super Sedanette coupe, up to a 91 Reatta convertible with 2011 miles on it.
I have played on the V8 Buick site for years, under the name of TurboV6. Found out about this site from a posting on the BCA board, just by accident. Glad I found it
