A friend of mine was meeting with a contact that had some 60's drag race newspapers & photos.
There were a number of pictures taken at MN Dragways. These two were in his collection.
Note the dealer installed stripe. The dealer was a long-time local Buick store.

Mark , Great pics! could you put them in the Gallery too! Loren, looks like the right color combo with the tri shields , lettering and stripe, just like you need for the post car! Jon

Jon,
:headbang: I hear you, I think it will make a great look on my post car. I was delighted to see that the stripe is red and gold. Definitely much better then just white or black.
Really need to get that shop space done and get on that car to finish it up.

We could go measure this one.

I took that pic and never seen that stripe da!

Glenn,
Yep, those were forwarded to me! Thanks for taking those. That stripe jumped out at me,
if you look close, it looks like there may have been one on the other side of the car too.

I just looked at the original and yes I think there is . Is that factory?

Anyone interested in the stripe package might want to pick up the latest issue of
Popular Hot Rodding. Hey have been working on a 65 442 for awhile, and in this
installment they paint the stripes on per measurements from 442Bro.com.
