I expect we will see more if they continue to bring $400. This one has a nice mounting surface, but I couldn't tell if the linkage had been modified, looks like it might have been cut. It will be interesting to see what it brings.

I actually thought it would have gone higher than $400. Until Jon T. was kind enough to find one for me, I had searched everywhere and never found one for sale. I had called about every used carb dealer in the country. One carb dealer in the midwest told me he had a friend who had been looking for one for two years with no luck. I know one sold last year for under $200 but it was mis-listed otherwise it would have shot up also. When you think about it, there is only a small finite number of these things.
No matter how much that last one went for, it's still amazing that there is another one available already.

The price shot up early and fast on that one! There were two bidders in a war over it. They obviously wanted it BAD! No doubt the price would have gone higher if another bidder had stepped in.
The carb in the latest auction does appear to have a piece of the linkage cut off..... it should look the same as the automatic version, with the stud for the kickdown.

I bought the "mis-listed" 3922S a little over a year ago. I don't remember the price, but it was less than $200 shipped. If I had to try to remember what I paid for it I would say $150-$165, don't remember exactly. Didn't realize it was that great a deal at the time.
