Its ONLY $136.64 to WI. Plus the seller promises to ship it within ten days after the payment has cleared. Some sellers do that because there are no fees to the seller on shipping charges.

That makes sense, glad I don't want that carb.
-
OMG. I missed it. Been looking for that carb since 1996.
The 7026242 was only used on the 66 Skylark GS with the 340 hp 'L-76' 401 option.......
only 132 cars built. I have one of them, but it's missing the original carb.
If anyone here bought it, please PM me.

Walt,
Why don't you contact the seller and see if you can make a deal with the new owner, giving the seller a few bucks for his trouble? Wouldn't hurt to ask. I don't think this would break any Ebay rules for buyers (or want to be buyers).
-
I just thought about my suggestion and that must break some rule because Ebay wouldn't collect a commission on the new sale. Can't imagine they would allow that.
-
I asked the seller to pass along my interest in the carb to the new owner. We'll see what happens, if anything.
-
I assume you offered a finders fee.....

I got an e-mail from the buyer today. It's for his 66 GS, so the carb is a keeper for him. He's been looking for some time, so he knows what he has. At least it has a good home . I was afraid someone less knowledgeable bought it and wouldn't treat it properly or trash it.
I invited him to join us here, hope he shows up.

Cool. Good luck with your search!
