Title: Post Car Door Window Channels and Retaining strips
Post by: jmos4 on July 29, 2011, 11:32:18 AM
Hi,

I had my passenger door window channel come apart last night and was wondering if someone had a set or if these were being reproduced

this is the metal channel that the door glass sits in and has a piece spot welded to it that the regulator rollers roll on and yes it is different on the hardtop cars as theirs are bolted on

any help would be great
thanks,
Jim

Jim,

Is this the vertical window channel ? My car had a chunk of that come loose and found a section that I glued back in.
OPG has a complete set for a sedan http://www.opgi.com/p/weatherstripping-seals/146/100/S220093.html
also a vertical run channel http://www.opgi.com/p/weatherstripping-seals/14955/100/GRC0020.html
I do have a piece of the window channel molding that I used if you need that. It is just a molding  with felt lining that fits into the door glass channel. Can post a picture if you need that. Of course I can't remember where I got it.

Dan,

I actually need the part that mounts the window to the regulator as of yet no one has a source, I managed to weld what was left back together but will need to find a replacement in the near future

thanks
Jim

Jim,

I have a 64 Special and had the same issue with my drivers side. Cars Inc has a generic 32" lower sash channel (sold as a pair).
I too will have to have the cam welded on.
