Title: New to 65GS.com but not Buicks
Post by: GranSportSedan on July 24, 2011, 01:19:13 PM
Hey guys, Most of you know me from V8Buick. i last owned a 65 GS in 2005 and it was a post car with an automatic. since i sold it i have pretty much regretted selling and have been keeping my eyes open for another 65 Post. I got a tip about the one on Ebay last week and did everything in my power to win it. the fact that it is a factory 3 speed motivated me. I have owned a lot of rare Buicks in my 20+ years as a buick fanatic including a 70 GS455 4 speed triple black. 2 66 GS post cars, a 65 GS 4 speed factory black with saddle interior.. the list goes on for about 100 buicks owned. looking forward to restoring the new car and learning from you guys as well as offering what i have learned over the years on these cars.

Congrats Bob.. she's one rare bird for sure.

Can you please register her in the Registry as this is one we'll want to record and track for years to come.

Thanks,

Chris

Welcome back Bob! Glad you got the car, it's got a great home.
I also have Dan K to thank for the lead on my 65 GS....he posted a lead for a 4spd trans he saw on eBay..... I contacted the seller and ended up buying the whole disassembled project car!

Legendary has an annual winter sale for about 20-25% off if you can wait till then.
Your car is looking great with the new shoes, are you driving it already?

The title of this thread sums it up for me too.

Hi Jim in North Mankato,

Welcome to our little clubhouse. I lived in North Mankato from 1973 to 1981. Great college town. Why don't you start your own Bio thread and tell us more about yourself and your long history with the '65 GS.
