While taking apart my turn/parking light assemblies to get the pot metal part of them rechromed , it appears that maybe they are chrome with part of them painted a dull grey .
Is this correct or are they just chromed with no paint ?

Hi John in Minnesota,
Yes, part of the parking light bezel is painted a dull aluminum. The undersides of the top two bars and the section of the bars with the "teeth" are painted. See photos.

Thanks John from Kansas .
I thought maybe there was . When I was cleaning the dirt off mine I thought it looked like there was some grey paint sprayed on them .
( be it very little )
Thanks again

John,
I'm thinking that the park lights and tail lights used the same color around the lenses. I have not yet decided which color to use,but it appears to be a silverish gray like the bottom of the grille and headlight bezels. I used GM 8867 silver from duplicolor in a spray lacquer on my post car and I think I am happy with the match. It has a dull matte look if you just spray it without any clear. I do not believe it is supposed to create any shine or glare.

Hi John, For a silver matte finish I use Rustoleum #7277830 metallic matte nickle in the 11oz spray can, I use it on the taillights and the area around the instrument/radio cluster too. The big box stores have it in stock..

Another paint that is a perfect match is Krylon Dull Aluminum.
