While in the process of rebuilding my Carter AFB, I made the mistake of soaking the aluminum parts in degreaser. This caused the parts to turn color and oxidize. My question is, is there a way to stop the oxidation and still be able to use this carb? I am not opposed to getting it clean and using it. I am open to suggestions or any recommendations to who could restore the carb also. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thank you in advance. Dave

There are a couple of people that specialize in our AFB carbs. Carmen Faso and Tom Telesco, possibly one of them could help.
Carmen's contact is by phone : 716-693-4090. He doesn't do internet.
Tom's email is : telriv@yahoo.com
Hope that is helpful,
Loren

I can help you get it going again. Have restored many of these. I can bead blast it and do a basic rebuild on it. Not set up to do plating, but paint all the steel pieces with zinc color paint after I blast them.
