Title: DIY convertible pump rebuild by Brian Martin
Post by: WkillGS on November 23, 2013, 03:49:37 PM
Here's a nice thread on rebuilding the convertible motor/pump written by Brian Martin. Brian is the brother of Nailhead guru Russ Martin, and happens to be a long-time owner of a '65 GS 4 speed convertible.
Without further ado, here's the link:
http://autobodystore.com/forum/showthread.php?23149-quot-Basics-of-Basics-quot-Convertible-Top-pump-motor-disassembly-and-rebuild (http://autobodystore.com/forum/showthread.php?23149-quot-Basics-of-Basics-quot-Convertible-Top-pump-motor-disassembly-and-rebuild)

And while you're on the Autobodystore site, check out Brian's 'Basics of Basics' autobody articles here:

And finally, the Autobodystore.com forum is THE place to go for paint/body related questions!

If you do have paint/body issues, and you find a solution on the Autobodystore site, please post your findings here on 65GS.com!

I have found the Forums there very helpful.  Most of the answers you have about bodywork and paint are there if you search.  Len (I think that is his name) is also very helpful if you talk to him.  These guys and most of the paint supply places I go to want you to be successful.  That way you do it again and they can sell you more stuff.  So, if you ask the right questions or even if you don't they are all pretty helpful.
