I was shocked when I bought mine last February (no pun intended!) at about 30.00 each. The days of the 10.00 shock are long gone! I just went with OEM from crack auto. If you wanted to upgrade, I'd consider some gas filled units with a good warranty. To be honest with you, the stock jobs and new springs lets the special glide down the road. I also did air shocks on the back, for the "look". Bill

I think the kyb gas charged are great! They are stiffer than stock I would say but are excellent for handling and the deflection! The old red gabriels are great to but not sure if you can get them? I have kyb 's on my GS's and my buddies Skylark convertible has the red gabriels! See what rock auto and summit has?

Dear grants6, Bill, Jon, and mid-60s Buick caregivers,
I think the kyb gas charged are great!
. . . .
Biquette also has KYB shocks. Ultimately they won't work for towing, but they work great for just cruising around town. I certainly have no complaints!
Cheers, Edouard :occasion14:

I have KYB on a couple too, and Hi-Jackers in the back to adjust stance. Can?t have a saggy rear!

Had to search the archives, LOL, but these are what I used on the front of the '64... Bill
