Where or what brand of wheel cylinders are you using ? I ordered a pair of front wheel cylinders from a parts supplier that were made by Dorman thinking I would get a good quality part but I opened the box and the first thing I see is a big sticker that says MADE IN CHINA :icon_puke_r:!!!!
IF I can at all help it I don,t want my Gran Sport half made in china . ( I know I know i,m getting carried away . LOL )
I,m searching the net looking for as many NOS parts as I can but some of this stuff just isn,t out there anymore .

Not sure if this will help you, but when I bought my first 65 GS some 11 or 12 years ago it required a new front wheel cylinder to pass the government safety. I'm 95% certain the shop used one for a 64-65 Chevelle. I seem to recall it wasn't a direct bolt in, but they slightly modified it to work. I never had any stopping problems with that car.

No you're not getting carried away. I feel the same way you do. Bill

Bill , I got it taken care of . Took my originals for the front and blasted them , got the bleeder screws loose and honed out the inside really good .
Theres a place in minneapolis called ( brake and equipment ) and they have new rubber cups , so the fronts are good to go .
Now I just need to find some original rears as the read end I have didn't have anything on it .

NAPA used to carry the correct larger front wheel cylinders. See

John,
I have the originals from my car if you want them. I replaced all of mine with current AC Delco parts. I bead blasted them, so you'll need to clean them well and put new boots on. I can get them in the mail to you if you want them.
Cheers!
