Title: Center Link and Tie-rod question
Post by: Weldar on December 29, 2016, 05:59:16 PM
Was looking to buy from Rare Parts and then I thought why these are not rebuilt. Probably a stupid question but was wondering if anyone could provide some insight.

Sorry Dwaine, I can't help with your question.  Bought my Rare Parts center link from Autozone on sale for $140 and the tie rod ends from ESPO.

Good luck.  I'm sure many would be interested if you can find a rebuilding source.

Some generic centerlinks have become avail in the past few years for under $100. Got mine from Southwest Speed, a circle-track supplier.
When I was searching for tie rod ends, the tough detail to match was the location of the grease fitting. It should be on the flat opposite the stud. The ones that are avail have the fitting on the very end, which is so close to the frame, it can't be accessed.

Correct tie rod end boots are now repo'd if you want them to look correct. Inline tube is the source.
