Is this a 4 speed shroud what are the differences?will an auto radiator work with this ?please help.I have a automatic Radiator and wanted to know if it will work Worth this or do I want to just use the plate that came with the automatic car

If I understand correctly this is a shroud for an Air conditioning car. If yours is nonAC it uses the meal shroud that covers just the top.
-
455pev is correct--shroud on the Air conditioned cars, and no shroud (other than the metal hand guard at top) on the non-air conditioned cars. The one in your pic is not the correct AC shroud for a GS. That is a shroud from a 65-67 Skylark with the 300/340 engine.

I may use it anyway just because it will have a shroud .Also considering the ac clutch fan .I'm not a purist and am doing some minor changes to the restore. If the 5 blade clutch fan will fit.Id like to do some things to help cooling .Anyone have a Be-Cool radiator?

I looked at using a small block shroud. cutting it down to fit but I think the 5 blade fan diameter is larger than the shroud. At least the one I has is.

Well I have a stock plate off a parts car I can use is the fan doesn't fit .I think the 5 blade will trump the shroud

Hi,
The small block one is thicker than the GS one, as I tried the same thing on my post car with a broken one (cutting it down), I ended up getting a reproduction one and used a small block 7 blade AC fan

I have a small 6 blade fan that I thought about using with a cut down small block shroud. looked like I could sut off enough from the radiator side to make it work.

I used a 300 shroud on my 425. I turned it upside down so the side-to-side offset fit the GS radiator tanks. Then cut back the fan opening so it fit between the rad and the fan. A flying blade off of my flex fan destroyed that shroud.
Next up, I used a clutch fan from the junkyard with no shroud. It works well. Clutch was from a 1980's V6 Regal, and the small diameter fan I got off of a Cadillac. I believe it's 18 inch diameter.
On my Red '66, I'm using a Griffin rad (universal fit, about $200), and a old GM 7 blade fan. That one runs cool as well.
