Hello! Heard from one of your members that this is the site for me. I hope to be an asset to the group. I just purchased a 66 Skylark GS with a 401 nailhead and a ST300 trans.

Welcome to the group Tom. There are two 65 GS owners not far from you. Myself with a white hardtop and Rollaround with a yellow convertible and a red convertible. We both are in Defiance. Tell us more about the car, condition, where did you find it. You will find that the group of people on this site are always willing to jump in with advise and information when needed. We need to set up a meet and greet between the three of us. I am sure Rollaround will be along later this morning on the site to welcome you.

Welcome Tom! Glad to have you aboard and happy to help with any questions you have. We love to see other's cars and projects, so please post some pictures.
Cheers!

Thanks. I haven't taken many pics yet. I do have a few. Do you look at the gallery often? Maybe that would be a good place to add some.

Thanks. I am interested in a get together. The car is a very nice #3 car originally from california. 401 nailhead with ST300 trans. I got a call from a friend saying the car was for sale. I contacted the owner who was a bit surprised, but admitted he did not drive it much and would consider selling it. A deal was struck and now it's mine. The car was in Bowling Green Ohio.

Welcome Tom! I also have a 66 GS and have owned at least one continuously since 1975. Looks like you have a very nice car! Congratulations!

Welcome Tom,
Very nice car indeed and good to see another '66 GS owner come aboard.
Unfortunately the Gallery is not accessible to post pictures, presently. In other words, "broken". It can still be viewed.
We are working on getting that fixed and also some other changes.

Welcome Tom! :occasion14:
Nice to have you join us here. Several of us own 66 and 65 GS's.
Your car looks like a twin to mine! I've had my blue '66 since 1982. Has a blue bucket seat interior.

Welcome Tom,
It seems that the 66's are fewer than the 65's in the real world. My friend has a base model that is a clean car,but the nailhead 66 cars are just not out there. Very nice car and good color combination. Maybe we will get others to join with the 66 push if we put it out there more. Dan

Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place. Great group of folks here, always standing by to offer assistance. I'm not sure if they're real smart or if the've just been working on Buicks forever.
Anyway this is the place for early GSs.
As Glenn said we're here in NW Ohio also, in fact we're only about 30 miles apart. We should get together and swap some Buick lies.
