Title: Roof Dirp Moulding
Post by: Weldar on October 08, 2010, 10:17:04 PM
Realize that these pieces snap on, but not sure how they without getting to western on it. Assume that the bottom edge comes off first due to the lip that is on the trim. Can get a thin blade started and slide it down some but really afraid I'll twist the piece. Looked through the 65 Body Service Manual (by the way thanks for posting this one and the others online) but didn't see anything specific as to removal. What's the trick? Thanks in advance.

Welder,
I've had good success using a block of wood from the back side. Remove the corner piece where the two meet. With the window down, starting at the corner, place the block against the bottom edge and tap gently. The trim will start to roll off, move the block a small ways and continue on.
With some patience and a little effort it will come off undamaged.

Good luck,
Loren

Great. Thanks a lot. Got both sides off with no problem. I'm not done with the questions. Thanks again.
