I have a 1965 Buick Skylark GS but has a 1966 Riviera 425 engine with headers. I want to go back to the original stock exhaust manifolds. Will the exhaust manifolds from a 1966 Buick Special with a 401 engine work on my 425?

A 66 buick special came with either a 300 or 340 V8, not a 401? The only manifolds that will work are from a 65 or 66 Skylark GS with a 401. The 401 and 425 heads are identical, so they will fit the 425 perfectly. 425 just has .125" larger bores in it.

Brian,
Thanks for the info. A wrecking yard at French Lake, Mn, said they had a set out of a "1966 Special w/ a 401"?? I will call them again tomorrow. I've been a Chevy Impala person for 40 years and this is the first Buick (1965 GS) for myself. My wife loves the car (so guess who gets it). I recently purchased the car and also just found this great website for info. I know a little about this car cause I'm doing the work on it. People like yourself are an absolute great resource for me. Thanks again.
