I bought a 1965 Buick Skylark in 2004 when I was in the army at Ft Irwin CA. I Posted it on craigslist about a month ago and entertained a few offers, and some guy emailed me and told me to post it on this site. So I did, then I spent the rest of the day reading posts and looking at pics of all of the other Buick projects on here. I've decided to keep my car and finish what I started ten years ago. Thanks

Good choice!
Would you have any pictures of your Skylark? Even if it is a project "underway" we like to see how a project is going. There might be even a constructive suggestion or two!
Cheers, Edouard

Your story sounds very familiar.
I picked up my first 64 2 dr HT Skylark with bucket seats in San Jose while stationed in Ft Ord California.
Drove it back to Minnesota after separation in 74.
Thank goodness for the fort special services garage allowing me to pull the aluminum heads for a rebuild before I headed home.
Those were the days.
Thanks for joining us here.
Look forward to a lot of fun and a great search engine for help.
The people are really great to.

Welcome to the contagious bunch......I haven't finished my 65 and just dragged in another one today. These guys will hopefully push us in the right direction. These cars are getting few and far between and it is always nice to see a new project. Do you have any pics of it to post?
