Title: Windshield washer pump pin and roller assembly piece
Post by: bbbbuick on September 04, 2020, 02:09:22 PM
Hello gentlemen,

I am finally trying to fix a long standing problem of no functional windshield washer pump. The pump mechanism itself appears to be functional, however the plastic pin and roller on the rear of the pump has broken, keeping the motor's cam from driving the pump actuator. Can I find this part anywhere or am I relegated to a replacement? I see replacements are available but they don't match the original in appearance at all. I'd consider buying the replacement and then removing just this part to use in my original but have doubts it would be a match and hate to waste $60 just to find out. Anyone have a Special/Skylark sitting around with a functional pump or at least an intact pin and roller part? I've attached some pics in case I'm getting my terminology wrong.

Best,
Elvin
